Southern California auto insurance

There are many reasons southern California auto insurance is so cheap.  Many people automatically assume that just because you live in California that the insurance rates are through the roof.  This couldn’t be further from the truth.  California actually has some of the best rates in the nation depending on where you live.  The south side of California is one of the parts that give amazing rates.  Your car may be a factor in addition to the neighborhood and area you live in.  You really can get cheap car insurance in California so you should always compare rates online before you take the first option.

California has an extremely high cost of living and any bill you can get lower will help.  The best thing you can do is get a low insurance payment so you can afford the rest of your bills.  One thing to keep in mind is that there are some areas that do have high insurance rates.  However, the factors spiking the rates so high include parking a very nice car on the street and not in a garage, not having a car alarm, traveling long distances to work and much more.  You should always compare different insurance rates before you settle and assume the outrageous one you were given is normal.

One thing to consider is that California rates are not high because of earthquakes, especially in southern California.  Many people just accept this factor but it is not the truth at all.  If an insurance company tries to charge you more because of earthquakes then you are just a sucker.  First of all, earthquakes in southern California occur so little that the company cannot increase the insurance rates because of them.  Oklahoma has 200+ softball sized hail throwing tornados a year which is good reason for a high rate.  An earthquake every five years is not.  Also, southern California barley feels the earthquakes in California because they are south of the fault line where all of the damage occurs.

Another thing to think about with California is the area you live in.  You can still live in a bad area and get an excellent rate on your policy.  It is about how much you take care of your vehicle.  If your car is hard to steal because you lock it with a steering wheel lock and an alarm system then the insurance company may not be worried about theft.  However, if you have $4,000 rims on your car and you park on the street without an alarm your rates will be outrageous.  If you want to insure a high dollar amount and not take care of it then you will be required to pay a lot of money.

You can find cheap southern California auto insurance.  As a matter of fact, you can insure your vehicle for under $200 a year with full coverage depending on the type of car you drive.  The other factors include how you take care of your car which include parking in a garage, not leaving keys in a visor or on the seat, and having a car alarm, Cheap California car insurance is possible.  California has no weather related problems that cause claims to cars and earthquakes are barely felt in southern California.

Things You Want with California Low Cost Auto Insurance

You may be looking for the cheapest rate possible with your California low cost auto insurance.  However, the money savings are not everything if the coverage is no good.  Many of the things you may want to add to your policy include side of the road coverage, medical benefits, and injury protection for you.  These are things many people don’t think about until they really need them and after it is too late.  When you are looking for automobile insurance coverage you should always look at the different factors and the options you can add to the policy for coverage.

Side of the road service is something that many people absolutely cannot live without.  This may raise a cheap auto policy up a couple of dollars each month but it gives people a safe feeling while they are driving.  No one wants to get stuck on the side of the roads in California with a broken down vehicle.  There is nothing more scarier, especially if you don’t have anyone you can call to come and get you or help you.  You have to be able to rely on your insurance company to provide side of the road support and take care of you.

Medical benefits are something that you can add to an automobile policy that will take care of you if you are injured or you need to see a doctor for any reason. This is sim Full post…

How Much Auto Insurance Do You Really Need?

Types of Auto Insurance and the Ways They Protect You from Natural Disasters, Crazy Drivers and Suicidal Wildlife

Have you ever heard the saying “Less is more”? Anyone who lives in a high traffic area like San Francisco or NYC where the cars regularly play bumper bowling on the highway (or a rural area inhabited by kamikaze deer) can tell you that philosophy should never apply to your auto insurance. Many people choose to carry only the minimum amount of liability on their vehicles to protect them if they’re ever in an accident without thinking about the possibilities-and the number of natural and unnatural catastrophes that liability doesn’t cover.

When you purchase an auto insurance policy you’re going to be given the option to purchase many types of insurance at varying degrees of coverage.

A Window Shopper’s Guide to Shopping for Auto Insurance

Studies show that the cost of identical auto insurance policies between major U.S. carriers can differ by as much as $100 or more a month. That means that somewhere, drivers are paying as much as $1,200 a year more than they should be because they didn’t take the time to shop around.

Or, Why Cheaper Doesn’t Necessarily Mean Better

Okay, we live in a harsh economy. With unemployment on the rise and more and more companies going under, it’s tempting to try and cut costs any way we can. Since most people have a sneaky fondness for eating on a fairly regular basis, they try to do it using something they consider to be much more expendable than going to the grocery store-their auto insurance.

No, you don’t have to go out and buy bumper pads for your car because the number of uninsured drivers is on the rise-although it’s not a bad idea!
