What happens if I get into an accident with someone with an expired policy?
If the person you get into an accident with doesn’t have a valid insurance policy, they are in a world of hurt. You need to contact your insurance company and let them handle everything. It may end up coming to legal action to get money from the individual. It is a very unfortunate circumstance for them, because an accident can lead them down the road to financial ruin. This is especially true if you are injured. If they were responsible for the accident, they are responsible for your medical bills.
