External liability coverage

The agencies that provide general liability coverage must be able to protect you against all kinds of liability risks, and sometimes we are talking about some complicated external programs. In this case, the debits the insured company has over other persons must be insured. If the respective company can’t pay its obligations, the insurer must pay compensations. Even if it is not your business as an insured person, you must know that sometimes the insurance company has some serious problems with the respective company, and complicated lawsuits where you must appear as a witness might occur. Don’t get caught in the dark, urges moneysupermarket.com

With winter approaching, moneysupermarket.com is urging car owners to make sure they have adequate cover should their car break down in the dark.

The car insurance comparison site found breakdown cover starting from just £28.80 with The Green Insurance Company.

This policy covers for roadside repairs, recovery to the nearest garage or any UK destination, as well as providing alternative travel and accommodation costs.

The breakdown cover also offers a priority service for female drivers or for those with young children, a bonus for those who get stuck on a soon-to-be-dark school run.

Peter Harrison, car insurance spokesperson at moneysupermarket.com, said: At this time of year it is even more important drivers are covered in the event of a breakdown or accident.

Being stranded at the side of the road in the dark can be a very distressing experience and having adequate breakdown cover can give you the peace of mind that help is only a phone call away.

Department for Transport statistics show that last year the majority of road incidents took place between 15:00 and 17:00 hours so it really does pay to have cover in place, parents with children to collect from school should be extra vigilant and do all they can to ensure a hassle free journey home.

Drivers should read the details of breakdown policies to understand the type of cover they are opting for, those with cars that have trouble to start should consider taking out a policy that covers you on your driveway.

Insuring Famous Rides: The World’s Oldest Car

Over the past few weeks, we’ve mused on how much it would cost to insure everything from the Batmobile to the Pursuit Special and The Dude’s Gran Torino. But, we’ll admit that in our excitement for fictional futuristic features and uber-cool gadgets, we’ve forgotten about the other spectrum of famous rides: century-old collector cars.

Perhaps the most famous of all, or at least one that’s made headlines recently, is the 1884 De Dion-Bouton et Trepardoux. (Say what?) Recognized by car historians as the oldest drivable automobile, the steam-powered De Dion just sold at auction for 4.6 million dollars. (An awful

Get Additional Coverage with Umbrella Insurance

Umbrella insurance is more or less like the extra level of protection to help you in feeling secure about protecting your assets, and ultimately, your future. An umbrella insurance policy provides you with additional layers of liability protection. This policy will kick in when your home, auto, or any other insurance policy that you own are exhausted or used up. Your umbrella insurance policy takes over to provide you with the additional protection. As compared to the comfort of knowing you are covered with a reliable policy, the cost is really minimal.

Imagine these:

There is an auto accident caused by you (or your family member) or
Your pet accidentally attack your neighbor, or
A fire that spreads along your row of houses, and the fire started from your unit.

After all these scenario, ask yourself if you have enough liability insurance. Full post…

Parents pass on bad driving habits, warns AXA

Research from AXA suggests that young driver behaviour, often condemned as the scourge of Britains roads, can at least in part be blamed on the way parents behave behind the wheel.

The study of young driver behaviour revealed that 18 to 30-year-olds are three times as likely to have points on their licence or a complete ban if their parents do.

And young drivers who witness their parents drink driving are seven times as likely to drink drive compared with those who have no memory of their parents drink driving. AXA’s research shows that 28% of those with parents who drink drive do so themselves.

The research showed that young drivers who consider their parents to be aggressive drivers are themselves much more likely to be aggressive on the road. T
